Winning loaf hits Aldi shelves!
Aislingwon a grand prize of €15,000 and her winning loaf will be on sale in Aldi stores across Ireland for the next 12months! Aisling’s Beautiful Brown Bread is being baked daily by one of Aldi’s long termbakery suppliers, Stapleton’s of Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. The competition is now in its 8th year with Aldi and has gone from strength to strength as more andmore talented bakers fromaround the country get involved. Aldi is delighted to be able to continue to support local producers and keep Irish traditions alive. Kildare was recently crowned the winner of the Brown Bread Baking Competition sponsored by Aldi, in association with the National Ploughing Association and the Irish Countrywomen’s Association, at the finals held in Howth Castle Cookery School.

Prawn Cocktail Open Sandwich Pile this sandwich as high as you like with succulent prawns and delicious avocado. You will need • 2 Slices of Aisling’s Beautiful Brown Bread • ½ an Avocado, peeled and sliced • 60g of Prawn Cocktail • Small handful of Bistro Salad Leaves • 10g of Butter Method • Butter the bread, top with leaves and the sliced avocado • Pile on the prawn cocktail and serve • Enjoy!
