Our Hockenhull Hollyberry Bronze turkeys have the freedom to roam in fields in Co. Monaghan, with continuous access to open-air runs. Reared by Edward Maguire on a nutritious diet of wheat and cereal to produce plump and tender turkeys with an incredible flavour. Ready to cook, hand-stuffed with a traditional Irish stuffing and topped with Berkshire breed Irish smoked bacon to lock in all the flavours.

“I am the fourth generation of Maguire to walk these fields. We have always had poultry here,” says Edward Maguire. “We have produced eggs, chicken and turkey on this farm since 1951. The sight of the turkeys running around the field on a frosty morning always puts a smile on my face. They are cared for not only by me, but by my family too. Producing birds of this quality gives us a chance to do something special once a year, to produce the star of the Christmas dinner. It’s a journey that starts in August. They need that time to be at their best for Christmas. They are free ranging with access to their fields from dawn until dusk, seven days a week and enjoy picking through the leaf litter under the mature Ash trees in their field. The elderberries, blackberries and hawthorn berries growing in the hedge don’t last long either once the birds discover them.”
