What is Fairtrade?
At Aldi, we are committed to sourcing cocoa that is certified sustainable by a third party, such as Fairtrade. This means that the producers get paid the Fairtrade Premiumwhich is an extra sum of money, paid on top of the selling price, that they can invest in projects of their choice. Such as improving their farming and income, investing in health and education for their community, or protecting the environment around them.
