“Five generations of the O’Shea family have farmed along the banks of the River Suir in Piltown, Co. Kilkenny since 1830,” James tells us. “Today we farm 1600 acres (200 acres of potatoes and the rest carrots and grass rotation) and employ 190 local people as well as 30-40 seasonal workers and students.
